It might make more sense for CD Projekt Red to just wait slightly longer to release Cyberpunk 2077 during the holiday season, so that fans have the option of playing the game in the best way possible on next-gen consoles. By releasing the game simultaneously on both current generation and next-gen consoles, it will truly present Cyberpunk 2077 as a next-generation title. This would throw the game a further lifeline into the next-generation of games, rather than quickly leaving the game behind, given that it may be viewed as a last-generation title at the end of the PS4 and Xbox One lifecycle....

The development history behind Cyberpunk 2077 is a long and involved one. The first teaser trailer for the game was released all the way back in early 2013 before the game was finally released in late 2020 to a mountain of controversy regarding its performance issues. Two videos have been shared for Cyberpunk 2077’s next-gen upgrade. Both videos cover the same sequence of gameplay, though the PS5 and Xbox Series X videos don’t perfectly align if only to show they are independent playthroughs and not just a recreation of gameplay on both consoles. The gameplay featured in the trailers is extensive, offering over 30 minutes of Cyberpunk 2077 footage. It should be noted that the footage is story-focused, rather than sandbox-focused, which may raise some eyebrows....

This much was stated by CD Projekt Red’s Associate Design Director Kyle Rowley, as he was asked in Cyberpunk 2077’s official Discord server whether or not the game would contain “loading screens from area to area”. Interestingly enough, this led Rowley to reply that the action-RPG will have “no loading screens after the initial load into the game,” potentially signifying that the whole experience will somewhat seamless. Considering all of the technical and gameplay details that have been released thus far, the removal of loading screens after the initial booting up of Cyberpunk 2077 ought to be an incredibly wonderful sight to behold....
