CD Projekt Red seems to still be incredibly busy cleaning up Cyberpunk 2077 before launch, but they had time to extend a nice gesture to a fellow game developer. With Hideo Kojima’s title Death Stranding finally arriving on PC, CD Projekt Red decided to model Kojima in the style of Cyberpunk 2077 as congratulations.

It’s no exaggeration to say that the wait for Cyberpunk 2077 has been excruciatingly long, as the first real glimpse of the game was revealed all the way back in 2013 through a cinematic trailer. Now, seven years later the game is slated to release this November. Yet, CD Projekt Red is still teasing fans with brand new info about the game as the release date inches closer.
Recently, Cyberpunk 2077 revealed a stunning new district that players will be able to explore during the story. The district of Westbrook looks to be splashed with classy resorts, spots for shopping, and apartment buildings for residents to live in.
Additionally, the team behind Cyberpunk 2077 revealed two new characters, showing just how big Cyberpunk’s story will be and just how much fans still have to learn about the game’s world. However, some players are now wondering if Hideo Kojima will be a character that might cameo in the game, thanks to CD Projekt Red’s impressive concept of him. The render shows Kojima in a sleek yellow and black biker jacket straddling a cherry-red motorcycle somewhat reminiscent of the iconic bike from 1988’s Akira.
As mentioned above, Death Stranding finally landed on PC and it looks like this version might be the one to pick up for those players who may have skipped out on it when it released on PS4. The reviews for Death Stranding on PC are far more consistent in terms of score or verdicts, with many praising the visual overhaul that a new home on PC allows for the game. Additionally, many players and critics alike are finding the game more relevant now than ever before.
Though Death Stranding was just recently released on PC, fans still have plenty to look forward to from Kojima Productions. Interestingly, Kojima may have hinted at a sequel to Death Stranding through some concept art he showed on his personal Twitter account. For now, though, no official announcements on a Death Stranding sequel have been made. Until then, fans can look forward to possibly seeing Kojima cameo in Cyberpunk 2077 later this fall.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on November 19th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One with PS5, Xbox Series X, and Stadia versions in development.
